Also, both Cardiff University (16 min bus) and the University of South Wales (18 min walk) are a walk of less than 30 minutes, ensuring you can easily get to class without stress. In The Bakery Cardiff, all en-suites come with your private bathroom, rooms are fully furnished, and kitchens are fitted with appliances. Outside the flat, you can enjoy the communal area with comfortable seating to socialise and an outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine. The building will also be upgraded during 2025/26 to offer new communal spaces to relax and study.

The Bakery Cardiff offers quality en-suite rooms, with a perfect balance between privacy and budget. You will have your own bathroom, and share the kitchen and living space with others (3-6 flatmates). All rooms come fully furnished with a cosy 3/4 bed, under-bed storage, wardrobe, desk, desk chair, chest of drawers, and bedroom bin, ready for students to move in and settle down. The shared kitchen is fitted with an oven, cooking hobs, fridge freezer, and breakfast bar. You will also find a vacuum cleaner in the flat, and a comfortable sofa to sit with friends.
Outside your flat, The Bakery also creates a comfortable communal space for students to relax, study, and have fun. Within a walk of about 5 minutes, you can reach the UK's leading supermarkets, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, and Eastern Chinese Supermarket to buy daily essentials and groceries. A wide selection of restaurants next to the city centre, such as Upper Crust Cardiff Trolley, Browns Cardiff, Las Iguanas - Cardiff, are highly regarded local choices. When I make a reservation, is the advance rent paid a deposit? How to refund?
Advance Rent is prepaid rent, used as a deposit. After you successfully check in, Advance rent will be deducted from your rent and will not be refunded.

How to pay rent?
There are two ways to pay the apartment rent, online payment or bank wire transfer 1. For online payment, please log in to the Account of Unite Students, click the Payments page, enter the rent amount to be paid in the dialog box, click the Pay button, and enter the payment card information. If it is a British savings card, select the Debit card type (the corresponding Billing address needs to be changed to a British address), if it is a Chinese credit card, select the Credit card type (the billing address remains the domestic address) 2. For bank wire transfer, please log in to the Account of Unite Students and click Booking page, download the Bank Transfer Info file, communicate with the bank in advance, and bring the corresponding materials to the bank counter or self-service money transfer machine for remittance. In the remittance postscript, please fill in the personal reservation information (refer to the content required in the bank_tranfer_info file). The wire transfer does not arrive in real time , please be sure to wire transfer 1-2 weeks before the deadline to ensure that the funds arrive on time. Since the bank will charge a cross-border payment service fee, please pay the required rent + service fee when paying the fee to ensure that the full amount arrives.

Should I pay as much as the apartment needs to pay?
Please decide how much to pay based on your payment method, but please make sure that the amount of your rent is consistent with the amount required by the apartment. For example, if you use an international bank remittance, the intermediary bank will charge part of the handling fee, so in this case, please ensure that the amount paid is the payable rent + handling fee, and ensure that the full amount arrives to avoid arrears.

When can I check in?
You can check in on the day when the contract period starts. If you arrive at the apartment during non-working hours, it is best to inform the apartment in advance so that the apartment can arrange check-in.

Can someone else get the key card for me?
No, for security reasons, your key card can only be collected by yourself.
Do I need to pay land tax?
If you are an eligible full-time student, you will be exempt from paying land tax. You must provide proof to the apartment that you are a full-time student
What if there is no one at the front desk when I arrive?
